However, here is a quick fly-by summary of how you can resolve your Air Canada complaint with our AviationADR Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme!
The Air Canada ADR Process
- You complain to Air Canada directly in writing and give them 8 weeks to respond
- If you were left unsatisfied with Air Canada’s response, and want to push for a resolution (such as compensation), you fill out the AviationADR Complaint Form

- After you’ve filled out and submitted the form to AviationADR, Air Canada gets 28 days to reply to your complaint: they can either settle, or challenge it
- AviationADR establishes a Complete Complaint File, and a specialist Adjudicator reaches a decision on your case within 60 days of this date

Before making a complaint about Air Canada
Take note that to lodge a complaint against Air Canada, you need to have addressed the issue directly to Air Canada, ideally in writing. You should have received a final written response, sometimes known as a ‘deadlock letter’, or allowed Air Canada a span of eight weeks to respond.
